  • Why are you looking to rehome this pet?
  • We are looking for an experienced cat owner to give our much-loved cat a new home. He is 10 years old (11 in October) and is a friendly, affectionate, and laid-back indoor/outdoor cat who enjoys spending time with his people. He is fully house trained and generally very well behaved, although he does have his moments. He would be best suited to a home without children or other pets, as he can be nervous around new people and is known to scratch or bite, particularly when first meeting someone. Once he is comfortable, he is a loving and loyal companion. Sadly, we are rehoming him because I will be working abroad and my family are unable to care for him. We are looking for someone with previous cat ownership experience who can provide him with the understanding, patience, and loving home he deserves.

FurDopt Safety Advice: You MUST read our buyer's checklist before contacting the advertiser.

Buyer's checklist to avoid scams!

Keep all communication on Furdopt.com – Avoid moving to external platforms where scams are common.
Never send a deposit unless you have viewed the pet in person – Scammers often ask for upfront payments and disappear.
Don’t share your ID or personal details – Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Beware of phishing scams – Avoid clicking on suspicious links or emails asking for login details.
Be responsible, do your own research – Verify the seller, their background, and the pet’s history.
Ask lots of questions – A genuine seller will provide health records, vaccination details, and pet history.
Meet in a safe place – Always visit the seller’s premises to see the pet in a secure environment.
Check for warning signs – Unusually low prices, urgency, or reluctance to meet in person are red flags.
Request vet records and microchip details – Ensure the pet is healthy and legally registered.
Avoid sellers who refuse video calls or in-person meetings – Scammers often hide behind fake listings.
Trust your instincts – If something feels off, walk away and report suspicious listings.
