  • Coco – 2-Year-Old Chocolate Labrador x Welsh Sheepdog Seeking an Active Home Coco is a beautiful 2-year-old Chocolate Labrador x Welsh Sheepdog looking for a loving, experienced home where she can thrive. She is affectionate, intelligent and energetic, loving long walks, running alongside a bike and spending time outdoors. She is house-trained, crate-trained, travels well in the car, is good with other dogs and has good recall. Coco is a much-loved family dog who has lived with our three children since she was 10 weeks old. She absolutely loves children, and I have never worried about her with my own. However, we feel a home without children would be best, allowing her new owners to focus on her training and confidence-building. The main reason we are rehoming Coco is that she can is sometimes anxious with unfamiliar men. Although she is affectionate once she knows people, her fear can occasionally lead to reactive barking. Recently, a man approached and attempted to stroke while she was barking at him, despite being warned not to, and she lunged, bruising his arm with her teeth. Thankfully, it was a warning rather than a serious injury, but it made us realise that she needs a calmer environment with an owner who has the time and experience to help her overcome these anxieties. Coco would thrive with an active owner who can provide plenty of mental stimulation through activities such as agility, scent work or rural/farm life. She has enormous potential and will make an incredibly loyal companion in the right home. This is a heartbreaking decision for our family, and our priority is simply to find Coco the home she deserves.

Buyer's checklist to avoid scams!

Keep all communication on Furdopt.com – Avoid moving to external platforms where scams are common.
Never send a deposit unless you have viewed the pet in person – Scammers often ask for upfront payments and disappear.
Don’t share your ID or personal details – Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Beware of phishing scams – Avoid clicking on suspicious links or emails asking for login details.
Be responsible, do your own research – Verify the seller, their background, and the pet’s history.
Ask lots of questions – A genuine seller will provide health records, vaccination details, and pet history.
Meet in a safe place – Always visit the seller’s premises to see the pet in a secure environment.
Check for warning signs – Unusually low prices, urgency, or reluctance to meet in person are red flags.
Request vet records and microchip details – Ensure the pet is healthy and legally registered.
Avoid sellers who refuse video calls or in-person meetings – Scammers often hide behind fake listings.
Trust your instincts – If something feels off, walk away and report suspicious listings.
