  • Yes
  • Is your pet comfortable around other cats?
  • Unsure
  • Is your pet comfortable around children?
  • Under 5 years old
  • Why are you looking to rehome this pet?
  • Will only give to good home! Checks required as I love this boy too much! I took on this beautiful boy from a bit of a crappy situation and he had been left for several weeks with only visits for food and no attention. I have a TINY garden; and very narrow steep stairs which are proving difficult for him to get up and down. I also have an 11 year old pug, who is fine with but my pug is very jealous of all the love Roscoe is getting and sometimes take it out on him. He needs an experienced large breed owner and someone who has more space than i can offer.

  • Experienced pet owner
  • Does your pet require a secure outdoor space?

Description

Roscoe is an absolute dream; gentle giant but a couple of times he has stood in front of me if people get too close but never shown signs of aggression. He tried to dominate my friend once by mounting him so he definitely needs a firm voice and someone who is prepared to do training with him. His old owner was a man and as i am a single female I worry he thinks he is now the man of the house so I do think he may listen to a man more? Just a theory though. He was quite underweight for his breed so I have been fattening him up and he also had double cherry eye which will both be removed tomorrow (16/6). I have socialised him with my dog and he has never shown any aggression but he does not know what personal space is.

FurDopt Safety Advice: You MUST read our buyer's checklist before contacting the advertiser.

Buyer's checklist to avoid scams!

Keep all communication on Furdopt.com – Avoid moving to external platforms where scams are common.
Never send a deposit unless you have viewed the pet in person – Scammers often ask for upfront payments and disappear.
Don’t share your ID or personal details – Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Beware of phishing scams – Avoid clicking on suspicious links or emails asking for login details.
Be responsible, do your own research – Verify the seller, their background, and the pet’s history.
Ask lots of questions – A genuine seller will provide health records, vaccination details, and pet history.
Meet in a safe place – Always visit the seller’s premises to see the pet in a secure environment.
Check for warning signs – Unusually low prices, urgency, or reluctance to meet in person are red flags.
Request vet records and microchip details – Ensure the pet is healthy and legally registered.
Avoid sellers who refuse video calls or in-person meetings – Scammers often hide behind fake listings.
Trust your instincts – If something feels off, walk away and report suspicious listings.
